Face lift tape, also known as facelift tape, has gained popularity as an easy way to tighten skin without the pain or expense of surgery. But does it really work? We decided to find out by trying it out for ourselves! Read on to see our results and learn about the science behind face lift tape.
The Basics: What is Face Lift Tape and How Does it Work?
Face lift tape is a light and thin piece of material that sticks to the skin and lifts it up. It’s made to give the appearance of a facelift by lifting the skin away from the face so it doesn’t sag. The material is transparent, so it blends in well with your skin tone. And because it’s light, you can wear makeup over top without making any difference in how your makeup looks. Plus, it works for all skin types. You just have to make sure you use some sort of moisturizer or oil on the area where you’ll be applying the tape before hand. If you’re using it around your mouth or eyes, cover those areas with Vaseline first. One thing to note: if you want the results to last longer than a few hours, remember not to put it too close to your hairline or eyebrows because it will probably rub off quicker. As long as you follow these simple steps, there should be no problem getting full coverage and comfortable results!
Before Using the Product: Some Considerations
-If you have skin conditions such as rosacea, eczema, or acne, it is not recommended to use the product.
-The adhesive can irritate sensitive skin so if you are prone to rashes, it’s best to consult your doctor before using the product.
-It is important not to place the tape too close to eyes and mouth. The tape can irritate these areas as well as cause infections.
The Application Process
*You apply the face lift tape around our eyes, nose, and mouth. *Wrapped the strip of tape around your fingers horizontally to avoid creasing.
*Tightened the strip of tape until it was no longer sticky on the back side.
*Taped from just below your lower lash line to just above your eyebrow line at an angle.
*Tightened the strip of tape along your jawline and chin area in a diagonal direction. When you’re done with this step, cut the end of the tape with scissors to remove any excess paper. The Results: After one hour, we looked in a mirror and found that we could not see any difference between the before photo and after photo.
The Results
I was skeptical about the effectiveness of this tape, but I have to admit that it really did work. Once I had it on and blended in with my skin tone, my mom couldn’t even tell where the lines were on my forehead. I didn’t use the whole roll so I can’t speak for how long it lasts, but I’ve had it on for an hour and a half now and haven’t seen any smudging or lifting. The best part is that once you take it off, your skin will look refreshed and natural because the creases are smoothed out. If you’re looking for a quick fix to hide some wrinkles and make yourself look more rested than you actually feel, this might be worth checking out!
